The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) presents a transformative opportunity to accelerate discovery in materials science. However, while current ML models excel at narrow tasks, they often lack the generality, reasoning capacity, and domain integration needed to tackle open-ended scientific problems. FORUM-AI addresses this gap by developing an open-source, full-stack AI platform built for autonomous, end-to-end scientific research in materials.
